Each year for the last 30 years, the ABC has progressively become extreme, until now there is not a single conservative person fronting any program or conducting interviews. It is hard to believe, but there was a time when the national broadcaster played its news coverage with a straight bat. Geoffrey Luck was there to witness the corridor feuds and turf wars that saw reporting subordinated to groupthink, advocacy and exclusion [...]
Fortunately, regional ABC is not so parochial to groupthink, and can hold their heads high. A lesson to their more experienced big city colleagues. Two thousand kilometres away from the big cities certainly helps.
